Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above vacancies which exist at the Rim Alloy plant in Richards Bay.
The key role is to lead and facilitate problem solving and decision making in the area to improve Process Control.
The main responsibilities include:
- Preparing and Monitoring of furnaces and the casting equipment.
- Measuring and controlling of product and process variables
- Involvement in first line maintenance and general housekeeping
- You may be moved across sections for assistance.
The following selection criteria are required:
- Matric or N3
- Relevant casting experience
- Understanding of casting operations and alloys
- Understanding of melting ingot casting operations
- Preparedness to work shifts.
- It would be advantageous to have an excellent knowledge of how to work with liquid Aluminium, understand what risks are involved and how to act/react to those risks when present.
